How to enable exFAT in Ubuntu

  • Add Universe apt repository
sudo add-apt-repository universe
sudo apt-get update
  • Install exfat-fuse exfat-utils
sudo apt-get install exfat-fuse exfat-utils

Installing the above packages alone will auto-mounts your exFAT formatted drives
